Job Title: Social Media Strategist

Roar Media, a digital-first, full-stack marketing-communications agency, seeks a proactive, creative and passionate Social Media Strategist. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in social media marketing and must have experience managing social media accounts, using social media posting and analytics tools and creating content. They should also be in tune with current trends and have a comfort level in photography/ video editing for on-site content shoots and short form video editing.
He or she will be able to “hit the ground running” to oversee and manage client’s social media campaigns. Accounts may vary across key verticals such as travel and hospitality, real estate, professional services and consumer packaged goods.

ACTIVITIES AND DELIVERABLES:
• Plan, execute, and manage client’s social media programs including program strategy, campaign conceptualization, content creation and writing, posting and scheduling and reporting
• Provide meaningful social media client services including program management, client presentations and client relations
• Manage and promote content across clients’ social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube, LinkedIn and TikTok
• Create compelling and branded content by conceptualizing concepts, capturing content, designing and writing engaging copy, as well as working with and guiding designers to bring content to life in the form of static and interactive art cards, reels, stories, social ads, video vignettes, boomerangs, etc.
• Establish meaningful metrics and leverage tools to actively monitor, measure and report on social media impact, as well as generate ongoing reporting, audits and analysis
• Identify, create campaigns, collaborate with and manage small to large-scale influencers and influencer programs
• Perform community management responsibilities including listening and responding to social media comments and/posts, as well as escalating posts of concerns or with issues.
• Research and implement contemporary trends, platforms and tools to drive social media innovation for both client and agency business needs
• Propose ideas on how to improve efficiencies, reach new audiences and quantity social impact and success
• Stay abreast of developments occurring in the social media, communications and digital marketing space
SUCCESS IN THIS POSITION REQUIRES:
• Strong passion and knowledge of the social media space
• Proven analytical skills and insights, as well as ability to distill data and information into a logical story and insights

• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Proven social media marketing experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English is a requisite, including writing, proofreading, grammar and syntax (Spanish-language is also plus)
• Basic graphic design capabilities including how to use various design apps and tools to create compelling content.
• Client-service minded and ability to thrive in demanding environments requiring high degree of creativity, productivity, attention to detail, commitment, flexibility, communication and initiative
• Experienced content creator using creative and innovative tricks of the trade including photography; videography; strong image selection (use of off-the-shelf apps, etc. is a plus)
• Experience using social media posting, promotion and measurement/analytics tools (Sprout Social is a plus)
• Passionate, creative and professional attitude
