Beutler Ink (aka BINK) is a mid-size, fully distributed strategic creative agency, with a growing team of 20+. For more than 10 years, we have helped emerging brands and industry trailblazers tell their stories through engaging content, dynamic brand strategies, and an honest approach to reputation management, including our unique embrace of Wikipedia.
BINK seeks a Social Media Strategist to join our Creative Strategy team. The Social Media Strategist (SMS) will work on internal and client social media accounts; track and contextualize online discussions involving clients’ brands; learn and emulate our clients’ social media voices; and contribute to creative and on-brand social media campaigns for clients. The SMS will anticipate client needs and help us proactively deliver on them. This role will measure and report on results, and use data to pivot as the client needs dictate. SMS collaborates with the Creative team to carry out internal and external project deliverables, develop content, and support our strategic approach to digital marketing and social media engagement.
Candidates must have at least 2+ years of professional social media experience.

Responsibilities (AKA how you will help us build for success)
- Oversee and participate in the creation and publishing of social content on all platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, and other emerging platforms
- Develop and maintain content plans and activations in the social content calendar
- Serve as copywriter for social media posts that align with and represent clients’ voices in a seamless manner
- Develop and design effective and engaging client social media posts and paid campaigns targeting the client’s ideal audience
- Create and curate engaging and compelling content for social media platforms, including text, images, videos, and other multimedia formats
- Gather content, including taking pictures and shooting videos, on-site for client projects as needed
- Analyze and plan shot lists and capture subjects in professional-quality stills or video
- Set key performance indicators (KPIs) for social media campaigns, such as targets for follower growth, shares/likes, and measuring a campaign’s performance against KPIs
- Analyze and report on social media metrics and KPIs to track the effectiveness of campaigns and make data-driven recommendations for optimization
- Summarize key findings and provide insights for monthly client reports
- Assess and evaluate social media influencers for client brands who are brand-safe, on-message and speak to their audiences
- Actively monitor and manage communities to answer questions, provide information, ensure follower satisfaction, and engage in conversations with followers as necessary
- Monitor client social media for buzz or any negative perceptions and act quickly to intercept issues and alert the client and internal teams of all escalations
- Actively monitor, track, and analyze ad budgets and performance of ad campaigns and organic boosting to ensure strategies align with promotions and campaigns
- Collaborate on strategy planning for clients, including content strategies, paid efforts, and suggesting new ways to attract prospective customers for the client
- Stay up-to-date with social media best practices, industry trends, algorithm changes, and emerging platforms, and make recommendations for incorporating new strategies or features into the social media strategy
- Collaborate with the Creative team to ensure deep understanding of the clients’ brands, messaging, and marketing goals
- Participate as needed in client kickoff, presentation, and post-mortem calls to ensure alignment with client goals
- Ability to edit, revise, and review own work
- Seek and respond to continuous ideation and innovation within the social media space
Skills / Qualifications

Must Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, sales, communications, or a related field
- 2+ years of relevant professional experience in Social Media, Content Marketing, Digital Marketing, Brand Development
- Active social media user with robust working knowledge of all notable social platforms (ex. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, etc.) and a curiosity for understanding emerging trends, updates, features, and best practices
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with paid ad budgets and ad managers across platforms (ex. Meta Ad Manager, LinkedIn Ads, TikTok Ad Manager, etc.)
- Understanding of social media KPIs and analytics reporting
- Analytical mindset and ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights
- Proficiency in social media management platforms
- Creative thinking and ability to develop compelling and innovative social media campaigns
- Strong copywriting and copyediting experience, with the ability to:
- Create engaging and persuasive content
- Identify and match different brand tones
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects, prioritize own workload, and meet deadlines
- Flexible, able to work under pressure with a variety of team members and clients concurrently in multiple time zones, and on occasions, out of hours
- Motivated, self-starter who can lead a remote project and ensure superior communications on task and work independently with minimal manager prompting
- Comfortable operating in the “gray” when something is not spelled out
We’d be wowed by this experience:
- Expert level proficiency in Google Suite
- Experience with Harvest, Canva, and project management software (ex. Teamwork and Monday.com)
- Experience with analytics software (ex. Supermetrics)
- Client-facing platforms:
- Experience with HeyOrca, Sprout Social, or other social media scheduling platforms
- Familiarity with using a camera for photography and videography
- Familiarity with graphic design and video editing software is a plus
