Job Description

The right fit Social Media Operations Manager will have a marketing mindset, strong organizational skills, be an enthusiastic educator, and can dive into analytics.

In this role, you will manage the intake process, maintain the editorial calendar, execute day-to-day publishing across Visa’s owned digital channels, and assist with the planning, management, and execution of organic and paid social media posts. You will help define, establish, and communicate what we publish, why, when, how and advise on which channels are most appropriate to reach the target audience.

Youwill be conversant in the data and analytics that are unique to each social platform and will leverage that knowledge to shape and inform Visa’s communications efforts to be more effective in delivering measurable results.

Another key element of this role is to educate internal stakeholders of social media best practices. You will support teams with their copy, graphics, amplification strategy, develop social templates, and produce case studies of key campaigns and learnings.

This role sits within the Global Corporate and North America Communications team, which is responsible for crafting and communicating the Visa story to multiple audiences including clients, consumers, prospective employees and media.

This position is open to candidates in San Francisco, CA and Austin, TX.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.

Basic Qualifications
Qualifications
5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

Work experience is focused in the field of Corporate Social Media

Preferred Qualifications
6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD

Strong written and verbal communications skills, the ability to influence others and strong cross-functional leadership.

Exceptional organizational and project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-changing environment

Team player who’s able to work on multi-part projects across teams and able to ensure project deadlines and budgets are met

Ability to work in a highly matrixed organization and build an internal network of advocates/stakeholders

Extensive experience managing and scaling a company-wide CXM and social media management & advertising platform, preferably Sprinklr

Deep understanding of social media ad platforms, including Linkedin, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok

Growth mindset, with strong curiosity and a desire to learn from others and share knowledge

Ability to deal with ambiguity, be solutions oriented, and solve problems creatively
