  • The Cleaners is a shocking eye opener doco and a reason i got so involved in supporting moderators.

I think I’ve only seen a handful of the movies listed so might have to start ticking them off - although I would love a rating system - and which are movies and which are documentaries.

Was going to say Ingrid Goes West if it wasn’t on the list, but it made it — classic, underrated, bonkers film.

I’ve seen The Social Dilemma, Emily in Paris (of course I will try not to be so “ringarde” when I’m there!), The Social Network, and Chef—I love Chef so much, especially as someone who started out doing social media for local restaurants!

I feel like a LOT of movies and shows are incorporating social media as a more active plot driver now, since it’s such a part of the environment. I’d add Ron’s Gone Wrong and Booksmart since social media plays heavily into both plots. Maybe The Mitchells vs. The Machines as well, since Katie’s status as a YouTuber is such a big part of her character.
