Valentines Austin is seeking a results-oriented Social Media Manager to further advance the brand and drive the company’s social media goals, including new customer acquisition, customer loyalty, and overall community management & engagement. Under the direction of the Marketing Director, the Social Media Manager will work cross-functionally to optimize the company’s social presence while ensuring key performance indicators are aligned with sales and marketing objectives. The ideal candidate is an organized, creative, and detail-minded individual with a passion for digital media and fashion.


In 1999, Teresa Windham founded Valentines with a dream of providing women with forward-thinking contemporary clothing that fit every aspect of their lives. Teresa has created a glamorous haven that encapsulates her passion for art, fashion, travel, and design. After opening a second brick-and-mortar location in 2016, Valentines is now developing a thriving ecommerce business. With plans to renovate the original store in Davenport Village in summer 2023, we aim to document the transformation on social media. The freshly updated interior update will provide a beautiful backdrop for social content.

Prepare product content to promote:

  • Create or source, edit, and upload media for product inventory to Shopify then later repurpose as social content
  • Include designer info in collections on Shopify and repurpose as social content
  • Merch products/collections by color, style, or matching sets that will be consistent with published social media content
  • Enrich product data by adding the appropriate tags and attributes to ensure a great customer experience

Publish content on social media platforms:

  • Own the content calendar, executing daily and weekly product drops
  • Take product photos or source images, then upload products to website, and optimize content for each platform or sales channel
  • Create community building strategies that drive brand awareness and engagement across all relevant social channels
  • Identify and manage user-generated content (UGC)
  • Coordinate social focused partnerships or giveaways
  • Conduct continuous platform/trend research to inform best practices across all social channels
  • Other tasks as assigned

Meta Business Suite, Pinterest, TikTok, Threads, LinkedIn are a bonus


  • Strong social media portfolio showing photos, video, and account growth.
  • At least 2 years of experience in social media marketing.
  • Pop culture savvy to identify new trends and occasions/moments for the brand to activate upon.
  • Should have experience in programs like Canva, Meta Business Suite, Planoly, Hootsuite, Later or other social management programs.
  • Experience with Shopify is a plus, but not required.
  • Ability to craft a social media post in a pinch.
  • Ability to work in a group and is cognizant of others’ priorities to help achieve the goals of the group.
  • Ability to follow directions from management.
  • Ability to work in a deadline-driven work environment, with attention to detail and effective prioritization.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.


Up to 50% of healthcare covered on the first of the month after 90 days. For example, if hired on or prior to August 1st, the plan would become effective November 1st

$53,000 - $63,000 Based on Experience
