The Job

As the social media manager on the global corporate marketing team, you’ll have the unique opportunity to help us take Stanley Black & Decker’s brand storytelling to the next level. You’ll work cross-functionally to create, manage, publish, promote, and optimize compelling, brand-worthy social media campaigns and content across our corporate handles. While managing the day-to-day creation and publishing of content, you’ll also drive the overall social channel strategy, including staying abreast of current trends and devising a plan to grow our audience and increase performance over time.

  • Own and manage the corporate marketing social media editorial calendar
  • Partner with corporate and brand marketing strategists as well as other departments across the organization to develop social media content, high-impact visuals and multi-layered campaigns.
  • Publish frequent (daily) social media content across multiple platforms
  • Manage internal workflow and approval process for all content, including reviews by marketing and brand leadership, subject matter experts, and legal and compliance.
  • Own and execute daily community management practices across all channels
  • Lead the content strategy for our new social advocacy platform and perform other onboarding and administrative tasks to prepare for global rollout.
  • Manage the company’s risk management agency and processes
  • Create and distribute weekly, monthly and ad-hoc (e.g., campaign) reporting on social KPIs and key insights.
  • Manage other marketing assignments and projects, including our ANA membership and engagement strategy.

  • 5+ years of digital/social media marketing experience in a fast-paced, matrix organization leading all aspects of social media marketing – from concept to creative development to publishing.
  • Social lead experience in Social Bakers/Emplify, Percolate or a similar social media SaaS platform.
  • Driven by data, results and continuous improvement and the curiosity to continually test and learn to evolve our social medial strategy.
  • A collaborative, resourceful marketing strategist who knows how to bring various teams together to plan and innovate cross-functionally.
  • A superb communicator who is comfortable communicating with, and presenting to all levels of the organization, including senior management.
