What You’ll Do
Amplify the brand’s story across social media channels. Drive brand and category awareness, engagement, referral, and advocacy to stylists and their clients. Create, edit, publish and share engaging content daily. Work with content creators that fit the brand. Monitor performance and continually test to improve metrics. Build a strong, growing community by listening to followers and providing them with one-on-one unique experiences and content that connects them to the brand.

  • Act as a community manager across all social media platforms, implementing innovative social strategies, while promoting positive brand conversations and engagement
  • Manage day-to-day social media activities including monitoring activity and engaging with followers on posts throughout the day; provides coverage Monday-Sunday
  • Create, edit, publish and share engaging content daily for all social channels including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube
  • Monitor performance and pulls data regularly to know what works and doesn’t, adjusting posts/stories accordingly to improve metrics (engagement, hashtags, follower evolution)
  • Identify what capture’s people’s attention and drives more traffic to the website. Keeps a finger on the pulse of social trends, new platform features and best practices
  • Keeps the content fresh and on trend; continually brainstorming and developing new content and copy to test
  • Stay up-to-date on new social media tools, techniques and best practices
  • Monitor competitors, other social media leaders and the digital landscape for key cultural moments and current trends to see how to adapt and differentiate the brand
  • Find ways to attract new followers and increase engagement through campaigns, incentives and collaborations
  • Develop and manage influencer/advocate/content creator relationships making sure they receive monthly product orders and are delivering to expectations
  • Monitor UGC creation via hashtags and social tagging for high quality content and providing engaging assets to marketing and creative team for use
  • Make sure followers have great community experience, including getting questions and order issues answered/resolved through Customer Service
  • Coordinate live social media events and capture content at photo/video shoots or in person events
  • Cross-functionally partner with paid media and email marketing to tell a holistic story across the customer journey from discovery to purchase to retention
  • Collaborate with educators, distributors, sales team, and trade industry partners to successfully create brand awareness and drive engagement across social platforms

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in organic social media management, influencer relations or related field
  • Experience and working knowledge of the salon professional industry is preferred but not required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related degree preferred
  • Experience with Instagram, Facebook and TikTok
  • Possess excellent oral communication and written abilities. Conveys ideas in a clear, concise way; engages with followers in ways the audience relates
  • Highly organized and able to multitask in a fast-paced work environment
  • Able to adapt and change direction quickly
  • Able to interact with followers, customers, influencers while maintaining the brand voice and utilizing a proactive solution-driven mindset
  • Intuitively creative; able to tune-in and create graphics/photos/videos/copy that appeal to the audiences
  • Demonstrates 24/7 approach to responsibilities as social is “always on”
  • Creative thinker/planner who is not afraid to suggest and try out-of-the-box ideas
