Description

DiMe is seeking a Social Media Manager to join an ambitious and creative communications team. This person will report to the Director of Communications and collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to support and promote DiMe’s project work, as well as grow and foster engagement with DiMe’s online community and industry influencers

Key responsibilities include:

  • Represent DiMe across social channels (LinkedIn and Twitter) as the sole voice of the brand
  • Working closely with the Director of Communications and mapping to DiMe’s annual strategy, create a DiMe social media engagement plan
    * Account for engaging with our existing social community, potential community members, and industry influencers
    * Develop and oversee related internal structure, processes, and SOPs, as needed
  • In close collaboration with DiMe’s communications team, develop social media campaigns for each of DiMe’s campaigns, launches, and announcements
  • Engage with followers and influencers in line with DiMe’s social media engagement plan
    * Answer questions and prompt community conversation in line with DiMe key messaging and topics
    * Drive visibility and use of DiMe’s work
    * Funnel followers to other internal DiMe contacts/functional groups for other engagement opportunities, as needed
  • Build and maintain an internal repository of digital content (per topic) for the organization
  • Ongoing,
    * Maintain social content calendar, craft compelling content, and publish via Social Sprout
    * Review, and analyze social metrics, overall and by campaign; make recommendations for content, messaging, and/or ad spend
    * Offer new ideas and opportunities to grow DiMe brand awareness, thought leadership, engagement, and project/program visibility.
  • Work closely with the Director of Communications to ensure social strategy, engagement, and messaging align with DiMe’s brand, its organizational-level vision story, and thought leadership priorities

In the Social Media Manager role you will demonstrate:

  • Subject matter expertise: Must be an expert in translating highly technical information from DiMe subject matter experts (SMEs) into clear, informative, and motivating messaging for key digital audiences

  • Project management skills: Must have advanced project management skills with strong attention to detail and adherence to deadlines

  • Content creation: Must have strong social media writing and editing skills with minimal oversight; should bring creativity, visualization, and storytelling into communications materials

  • Strategic planning: Should be proficient in strategically planning multiple project activities. Should have the ability to anticipate and plan for future opportunities and needs, and be able to contribute ideas to higher-level strategic planning

  • Communication skills: Must have advanced skills in speaking, writing, holding productive discussions, and problem-solving across multiple internal/external groups

  • Leadership: Should have advanced informal leadership skills (e.g. proactively building informal partnerships with colleagues to enable knowledge sharing and acting as a model for the team)

  • Morphing technical content into compelling digital messaging and creative storytelling, both with copy and visuals
  • At least 5+ years of social media experience (work in healthcare and/or technology is preferred, not required)
