About Cape Resorts
Cape Resorts is a boutique hospitality collection comprised of eight distinctive hotel properties with several more under development. Each property offers a unique lodging experience, noteworthy dining venues, exciting nightlife destinations and successful retail and wellness outlets. The current hotel portfolio includes: Congress Hall, The Virginia Hotel & Cottages, Beach Plum Farm, The Star Inn, the Beach Shack and Sandpiper Beach Club in Cape May, NJ. In addition, Baron’s Cove in Sag Harbor, NY and The Pridwin Hotel & Cottages on Shelter Island.

Position Overview
This position works with the Senior Director of Marketing to develop and execute social media plans for the hotel, restaurant, special events and activities on multiple platforms. This position requires a candidate who can act as a passionate and knowledgeable brand ambassador, both internally and externally. They are skilled in photography, video-format content development, copywriting, and Meta advertising strategy. Must be willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Social Media Channels – Community Management

Social Media – What you will be responsible for:

  • Leverage social media channels to grow brand awareness for the hotel, restaurant, activities, and experiences.
  • Partner with PR on influencer marketing and tastemaker events.
  • Researching, collecting, and writing authentic content for social media channels Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube etc.
  • Attending events at hotels to provide live, local coverage
  • Monitor, respond, and flag online conversations
  • Brainstorm and execute creative contest
  • Optimize posting schedule & frequency to obtain maximum interaction & impact

Reporting

  • Provide monthly reports on social media growth and performance
  • Proactively communicate issues, opportunities, and insights to improve performance
  • Regularly provide feedback of insights obtained from social media monitoring to the marking team to ensure that social outreach is fully integrated with web, PR, and event marketing in a timely fashion

Ideation
Research new social media/digital platforms and provide briefs to Director of Marketing about if channel is appropriate for our hotels

Ideal Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, preferably in marketing or communications
  • A marketer with minimum 1-3 years’ experience as a social media manager
  • Skilled in use of Adobe and other creative editing platforms, including mobile applications
