Social Media Manager, Alexa Brand Marketing - Amazon Los Angeles, CA

Amazon’s Alexa Marketing Team is looking for a creative, social-media focused individual to lead the Instagram and Twitter marketing strategy for the Alexa brand. This opportunity sits within the Alexa Brand Marketing team and will be directly responsible for all things IG/TW in addition to collaborating with and influencing other social efforts across Amazon.

To be successful in this role, you will need to see the big picture, define an ambitious plan and goals, and execute daily at the highest level. You will need to understand the breadth and depth of Alexa, and quickly identify why and how to engage customers on social platforms through content, features, innovative integrations and products. You will be challenged to push boundaries, propose and execute new ideas, and establish best practices for Alexa on social media.

Responsibilities
Manage the Alexa IG and TW presence including content strategy, creative briefing, media, publishing, reporting/optimization, innovation

Set channel level goals - report on progress weekly to leadership teams

Manage agency/creative partners

Serve as the primary IG/TW subject matter expert across Alexa Marketing

Bring new and big ideas for how to grow the channel, scale to other social channels

We are a highly collaborative team always looking out for trends and moments in culture for Alexa to shine through. Collaborate with peers, brief agencies, review work produced internally, brainstorm Alexa video and on-device content, and above all, have fun!

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree

6-8 years of relevant experience in social media marketing with a particular emphasis on IG/TW

Must understand media products on IG/TW and have experience executing media on these platforms, optimizing, and reporting. Managing media budgets and making recommendations for boosting or not. This is not a purely organic social role.

Understanding of IG/TW metrics including collecting, analyzing and acting upon

Experience building a big brand presence and content strategy for IG/TW

Experience in building creative strategies (follower and engagement) for social channels

Experience building a brand persona and content strategy for a successful social channel

Experience in managing creative agencies, Influencers/creators and internal creative partners

Demonstrated experience using hard data and metrics to measure performance and make adjustments accordingly

Strong analytical skills including the ability to distill, synthesize, and draw conclusions on large amounts of data

Experience communicating and presenting to senior management

Able to thrive in an ambiguous environment helping bring structure and delivering results.

Outstanding writing, presentation and communication skills

The ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, organization/time management and problem solving skills

Preferred Qualifications
Ability to deal with ambiguous problems and build solutions with proper project management

Ability to influence multiple stakeholders and lead cross-functional projects across category or other departments

Aptitude for being organized with flexibility and for delivering results in a fast-paced environment

Bonus qualification is ability to also produce content for IG/TW yourself!
