F5’s social media team is looking for a strategist to join our ranks at a pivotal moment for our organization. As we gear up for the next fiscal year, we’re on the lookout for an experienced social media professional with proven skills in reporting and analytics, content management and customer engagement, industry thought leadership, and employee advocacy.

This role sits within F5 Marketing’s Growth & Demand team and collaborates across the global F5 ecosystem.
Primary Responsibilities
Editorial Calendar Management & Employee Advocacy (50%)

Oversee content creation to support the editorial calendar for F5 Global social media channels (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube)—leading with creativity, customer empathy, and strategic thinking

Publish social media content across platforms with attention to detail

Partner with global and executive social teams to develop and implement social media programs and employee advocacy activations

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including PR, product marketing, integrated marketing, OCTO, and customer support, to ensure a cohesive experience for users

Oversee social video production, partnering with the F5 video team to deliver content on YouTube, and Instagram

Actively investigate and suggest new ways to improve engagement and build community on social media platforms, including emerging social media platforms

Manage day-to-day operations of employee advocacy program, while identifying opportunities to grow adoption and engagement including trainings, workshops, and contests

Performs other related duties as assigned

Responsible for upholding F5’s Business Code of Ethics and for promptly reporting violations of the Code or other company policies

Data-informed cross-functional planning (25%)

Measure key KPIs and channel benchmarks for the social media program in quarterly reporting, delivering actionable insights to key partners and adjusting content strategy accordingly

Continuously evaluate social media performance through a data-driven lens and enable a “test and learn culture” with global scale

Assess ROI for impact of efforts

Partner with regional leads to and other page leads to cross-share learnings

Support alignment between organic and paid media
Community Management, Social Listening, and Customer Engagement (25%)
- Oversee our community management and social listening efforts, monitoring and responding to customer inbound comments, community questions, and larger crises
- Proactively engage with relevant content to build brand affinity
- Identify and engage on social media with prominent industry voices
- Standardize social influencer program with notable industry voices
- Coordinate inbound inquiries in partnership with F5 Support, AskF5 and relevant subject matter experts
- Monitor and evaluate competitive social pages, identifying proactive opportunities for F5 to standout in the marketplace
- Leverage Social Listening to capture business intelligence that informs cross-functional team plans

Qualifications
- BA in communications/public relations, journalism, marketing, digital/social media, or similar degree
- Interest in social media, digital marketing, PR, or communications/journalism
- Interest or experience in high-tech, business-to-business enterprise marketing
- Self-motivator with entrepreneurial spirit and a focus on helping others thrive
- Naturally curious
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Duties are performed in a normal office environment while sitting at a desk or computer table.
- Duties require the ability to utilize a computer, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material.
- Duties may require being on call periodically and working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends).
- Duties require the ability to travel up to 10% via automobile and airplane.
- Job requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

The annual U.S. base pay range for this position is: $60,811.00 - $91,217.00
F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change.
