POSITION SUMMARY

Miyoko’s Creamery is seeking an experienced social media specialist with a passion for food and mission-driven brands and a proven track record of social success. As a Social & Community Specialist, you will be responsible for helping us build and grow a best-in-class social media presence across multiple platforms to drive brand awareness and engagement. This is a critical role, leading the brand presence for consumers, sharing the brand story, and continually staying tuned in with our community. This specialist will be responsible for community growth and engagement, influencer management, performance reporting, and content support. This role reports to the Social & Community Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Community Growth & Engagement

  • Manage day-to-day social engagement across platforms.
  • Lead social engagement & growth strategy, driving tactics and developing initiatives to grow social community (especially within flexitarian community) and increase engagement.
  • Own social listening, tracking consumer insights, and liaison with customer service team to craft responses as needed.
  • Help support community tactics on digital/web such as: blog, loyalty group launch, SMS marketing, etc.

Influencer Community

  • Own relationships and manage campaigns with influencers of all levels.
  • Source and develop partnerships that help move the needle for brand awareness.
  • Grow and manage seeding/ambassador programs.

Reporting

  • Own all social based reporting from campaign recaps to social listening to monthly/quarterly reports.
  • Maintain a steady understanding of current and past performance and key stats and be ready to share and provide real-time input.
  • Use and share performance with content ideation teams to inform and guide content.

Content Support

  • Support content calendar execution and ideation.
  • Assist in select day-day content needs like posting, filming, etc. (as needed).
  • Assist in copywriting support for things like captions and blog (as needed).
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, fine arts, or relevant field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in an agency or in-house brand social media.
  • Experience managing social accounts (preferably of +75K followers).
  • Experience with producing compelling professional and story-driven social content from storyboard to filming to editing.
  • Willing and excited about appearing on camera in select social content as needed.
  • Experience with providing a top-notch customer service experience and supporting digital communities.
  • Highly enthusiastic about social media, aware of trends, best practices, etc.
  • Enthusiastic about food and food-related content, plant-based and vegan movement, etc.
  • Detail oriented, meticulous, organized, and efficient in managing tasks.

Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000.

Other Responsibilities
Adheres to safety programs in order to provide a safe and clean workplace for fellow employees within the regulations of all OSHA local, state, and federal regulations.

TRAVEL
Ability to travel in car and airplane to event locations.

CERTIFICATES AND LICENCES

Valid license to drive in the State of California.
