Job Title: Senior Social Media Strategist

Serves as the Senior Social Media Strategist for the Marketing and Communications Division. Working closely with team members in marketing, strategic communications and the creative group, leads the social media planning and execution for the Marketing and Communications Division and Presidential social media presence. Performs other duties as assigned.
50% - Essential - University Social Media Strategy: Develops, communicates and executes a cohesive social media strategy across the University. Works closely with the University social media team as well as communications, marketing, and creative staff on large campaign initiatives and ensures daily content is performing to brand standards.
30% - Essential - Presidential Social Media Strategy: Collaborates with University and Division leadership to implement a strategy and execution of Presidential social media accounts across multiple social media platforms. Monitors Presidential social accounts for opportunities and representational risks that may arise.
10% - Essential - Social Media Analytics: Works closely with the Assistant Director of Social Media to implement a system for tracking key social media success metrics. Uses analytical social media tools to convey the value of Clemson’s social media presence to key internal stakeholders.
10% - Essential - Social Media Monitoring: Works closely with the Executive Director of Social Media to ensure consistent monitoring of, and response to, reputational risks that arise on social media. Monitors the ever-changing social media landscape and identifies and evaluates the value of emerging social media tools and trends in a timely fashion.
Education - 1st Bachelor’s Degree with experience related to the development and dissemination of informational material.
3+ years experience in social media management, communications, marketing, journalism, advertising, English or related field; time managing social platforms, digital content/assets and content management.
Firm Job Knowledge - Firm working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to use in varied situations

No Budget Responsibilities - No fiscal responsibility for the department’s budget.
