The Senior Social Media Specialist leads the management and transformation of HTLF’s social media presence, systems, and processes, and drives the purposeful growth of an engaged digital audience across HTLF’s corporate brand, geographically diverse bank divisions and specialized industries. The Senior Social Media Specialist leads business-aligned social media initiatives, developing and maintaining a long-term strategic vision and consistently collaborating with internal stakeholders to meet business-aligned goals.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Leads the day-to-day management and maintenance of social media channels, publishing calendars, approvals and deployment for HTLF’s 12+ brands.
  • Manages and transforms the usage of platforms by championing enhanced functionality adoption, leading internal training, troubleshooting and serving as primary vendor contact.
  • Develops, disseminates and scales HTLF social media standards, calendars, processes and guidelines.
  • Designs and drives high-quality, purposeful social media content and campaigns that consistently align with established strategies and branding.
  • Amplifies the brand presence of HTLF and its bank divisions across social media, leading to an increase in followers and engagement on various platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube.
  • Establishes key performance indicators (KPIs) for specific campaigns and overall social media presence and provides regular reports to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Provides subject matter expertise of the latest digital and social media trends and capabilities, using this knowledge to initiate engaging new tactics and content across channels.
  • Builds and maintains a deep understanding of overall HTLF business goals, audiences, market and regulatory landscapes to ensure social media messaging is aligned.
  • Partners with banking division leaders to craft and deliver strategies that increase thought leadership positioning, brand awareness, user engagement and lead generation.
  • Collaborates with bank division marketers to draft posts for targeted engagement, tailoring the content, tone and style by audience, region, intent and platform.
  • Uses social listening capabilities to initiate opportunistic campaigns and drives engagement.
  • Performs regular social media audits and competitive analysis and provides actionable insights.
  • Secondary Responsibilities
  • Completes annual E-Learning plan and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) training as assigned and maintain up-to-date knowledge of BSA as it relates to the job function.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in communications/marketing, journalism, public relations, or related field required.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience developing and implementing social media strategies that drive brand awareness, impressions, engagement and leads preferred.
  • Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail and grammar required.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills required.
  • In-depth understanding of social platforms and their respective user bases, as well as how each platform can be leveraged as part of a holistic social media presence required.
  • Proven ability to build relationships cross-functionally, execute complex projects, and manage multiple resources required.
  • Strong strategic thinking skills, initiative, and commitment to achieving results required.
  • Experience with social media management and employee advocacy platforms (Sprout Social and Clearview Social) preferred.

The Targeted Salary For This Role Is

$83,760.00 - $108,887.00
