Job Summary:

The Sr. Social Media Specialist is responsible for day-to-day strategy and managing organic social media content for the Corporate Communications team that serves to increase brand awareness, enhance engagement, and interest in the Company’s solutions. The Sr. Social Media Specialist will create and maintain a strong and effective digital/social media presence. The incumbent will develop original content, proofread, and edit social media content for promoting company news, articles, blogs, events, community stories and more across the company’s social media channels.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Drive ongoing engagement and followership campaigns, while nurturing brand ambassadors through social media channels.
  • Execute a results-driven social media strategy with a focus on growing and increasing follower engagement.
  • Oversee social media campaigns including strategy development, execution, and analysis based on specific goals.
  • Day-to-day creation, management, implementation, tracking/reporting and optimization of organic communications and marketing content and campaigns across social media.
  • Partner with internal business partners to advise on social media strategies and trends as the subject matter expert (SME).
  • Generate, edit, publish, and share content (original text, images, video, or HTML) that builds brand awareness and industry connections.
  • Post company news, updates, community programs, blogs, and podcasts on social media to drive engagement, subscribers, and followers.
  • Create actionable plans to grow and maintain followers through the company’s primary social media platforms.
  • Provide regular reporting and context for social media performance and campaigns.
  • Maintain a unified brand voice across various social media channels/platforms.
  • Proactively develop new social media campaigns that will drive engagement and subscribers
  • Maintain regular social media calendar and coordinate with all internal parties to prioritize and optimize social posts.
  • Analyze monthly Key Performance Indicator (KPI) metrics such as campaign performance trend changes.
  • Launch and maintain effective employee social media advocacy program and platform.
  • Assist with creating social media strategies and setting goals through collaboration with members of the communications and marketing team.
  • Optimize, test, and analyze targeted campaign structures, ad copy, and strategies to drive results in line with the organization’s goals.
  • Effectively communicate performance results and strategy updates/recommendations to internal leadership.
  • Stay updated on emerging future social media trends and capabilities.
  • Monitor social media traffic, followers, and build reports utilizing appropriate metrics and analysis.
  • Facilitate online communication and respond to social media queries.
  • Develop and optimize a social media posting schedule, employing analytics on website traffic and customer engagement metrics.
  • Create, implement, and encourage an employee engagement plan to support the organization’s social media objectives.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or related field.

Required Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, specifically organic social media.
  • Hands on experience with managing B2B social media channels and content, reporting on social analytics and insights.
  • Experience with enterprise social publishing, listening, and reporting platforms such as Hootsuite, as well as managing employee social media advocacy platforms.
  • Experience managing and working across departments to accomplish project deliverables and establish consensus.
  • Experience in social media engagement.
  • Experience with SiteCore or other web platforms.
  • Experience with Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
  • Experience obtaining, editing, and/or retouching photos.

Certifications:
Social Media Certification preferred (i.e. Hootsuite)

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Knowledge of social media best practices.
  • Knowledge of various social media platforms and follower preferences.
  • Knowledge of social media strategies and channels.
  • Knowledge and understanding of future trends in digital technologies related to social media.
  • Knowledge of Hootsuite, Sprout, Brand 24, Critical Mention and/or similar social media management software.
  • Knowledge of project management tools such as Asana.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) with proficient skill level.
  • Ability to deliver creative content including but not limited to images and video content.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate a strong technological aptitude.
  • Ability to utilize social media applications on a variety of mobile devices.
  • Ability to demonstrate solid communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to review social media metrics, provide context, and assess underlying drivers to gauge and optimize performance.
  • Ability to advise management and colleagues on digital and social media best practices.
  • Ability to make recommendations within a group setting or environment.
  • Ability to work independently as a self-starter in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and multi-task while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a team environment employing a hands-on approach with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (both written and verbal).
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships through collaboration and respect.
