Senior Social Media Manager & Content Creator

We’re looking for a candidate with proven experience in social media management & content creation. You will report directly to the VP of Marketing & Communications and indirectly to the Senior Digital Marketing Manager. This individual will work within a team that thrives in a fast, innovative, inventive environment that’s driven through results and constant learning. At this time, Farmers Restaurant Group actively manages eight websites for seven current restaurant locations, one distillery, one catering company, one non-profit, one personal brand, with additional consulting websites in development. Open 365, seven days per week (for breakfast/brunch, lunch, weekday happy hour, and dinner), there are multiple programs throughout the year that require coordination, communication, and collaboration across multiple departments and digital platforms within the company.

The ideal candidate has a strong sense of trends and new ways to craft content to reach different audiences, and an eye for what consumers want to watch and see as it relates to the brand(s), and a creative capacity to create powerful visuals that tell many different stories. You’re able to work quickly, delivering timely content for all platforms with support from the social media team. You routinely use and have a strong working knowledge of TikTok and Reels, including but not limited to creating, editing, and uploading content, and analyzing data and trends to inform future campaigns, posts, and strategy.

You are willing and eager to try new things that keep brand standards intact but also keep the brand(s) involved with current trends. You’re always keeping your eye on new platforms and emerging technology and trends. You have a passion for and understanding of how people consume content and how they use it to they use it to interact with culture, personal interests, and brands.

You have strong written and visual storytelling skills and a proven track record of driving growth through organic social content. This individual leads the end-to-end process of social media campaigns and manages the social media team to help build a connected, engaged, and empowered Farmers Restaurant Group community.

Responsibilities:

**
Social Media & Content Management:**

· Create and approve compelling written and visual social media content.

Manage the social media manager & marketing manager – both of whom are involved with creating content, scheduling content, and engaging with guests/followers online.
Develop and create a content strategy for multiple brands and channels, including but not limited to: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Twitter.
· Have excellent working knowledge of content editing apps such as CapCut.

Utilize the marketing content calendar to plan out campaigns and content needs in advance with intended goals and outcomes.
Collaborate with the social media team to drive influencer strategy & partnerships to expand restaurant reach and engage with a new audience.
· Provide hands-on photo assistance and styling, shot list development, and oversee social media photo/video shoots, this includes capturing & editing photo and video content.

Reporting Responsibilities:

  • Use our social media management platform to track, analyze, and report on the performance of campaigns, content, and overall sentiment analysis.
  • Collaborate with the digital team to analyze web metrics as it relates to social media; compile & summarize the metrics in monthly reports.
  • Develop an optimal posting schedule using data and learned best practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3 years of relevant experience managing social media channels and creating content at a brand, agency, or media outlet.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, or related field/experience.
  • Expert knowledge on all social media platforms and is up to date on latest social trends, new platforms and features, and channel-specific best practices.
  • Data-driven and able to use insights to understand what content is performing best while strategizing how to deliver more of it.
  • Experience with content tools and DAMs (such as Adobe Creative Suite including Adobe Premiere editing software, Curalate, Sprinklr, Sprout, Later, and Canva) and digital marketing tools such as Meta Business Suite and Google Analytics.
  • Talent for producing powerful visual content in a variety of formats—still images to graphics, GIFs, Instagram stories and reels, TikTok videos, and more.
  • Photography, Videography, and editing skills strongly preferred.
  • Proficient within all aspects of the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Detail-oriented and can diligently manage a calendar; ensure projects are executed in a timely manner and in alignment with team’s goals.
  • Ability to manage others.
  • Able to travel to various restaurant locations - currently located in DC, MD, VA, and PA.
