What You’ll Do
Develop and execute Cisco’s Developer Relations social marketing strategy across all existing organic social channels, while keeping an eye on new, emerging platforms

Plan and implement social-first photo/video shoots.

Build and update a social content calendar, including sourcing imagery/videos/UGC content, creating (in partnership with content and design) original graphics/content/video, and assist in approving caption copy across organic and sponsored posts.

Run Social Content on all social media channels.
Lead social and creative monthly brainstorms, supervising/owning process from concepting through to execution

Collaborate with the creative team to create engaging social-first content, as well as being able to create original content on your own.

Supervise all social media profiles in real-time to identify issues in workflow or content performance, with the ability to present practical solutions or iterations to improve and scale.

Build and handle relationships with influencers and implement influencer campaigns.

Establish Cisco Developer Relations as a trusted voice, resource and community for developers.
Supervise and stay on top of timely industry developments, creative trends, and culturally relevant moments to push forward our social media efforts with speed and efficiency

Paid Social
Develop strategy for and complete paid social buys that support campaigns and key brand moments
Monitor budget allocated to follower campaigns and boosted posts for each channel

Collaborate with the paid social team to optimize quarterly budgets

Build quarterly follower campaigns to attract new audiences to social channels

Build target audiences through organic social media programs (that can be used and retargeted across channels).

Define social media KPIs, including engagement and reach, and routinely report on these KPIs to channel owners/marketing leadership

Develop reporting dashboards for marketing leadership that assemble the success of campaigns and initiatives
Provide insights from monthly and quarterly data that would guide ongoing social media strategy to optimize for KPIs

Create quarterly newsletter with monthly highlights from social media activities to provide insights into performance

Social Intelligence
Interpret, translate, recommend action interpret findings to develop strategic recommendations for audience, content and channel optimization for programs and ongoing communication that our global social teams run; including defining which types of content we produce for which audience.

Learn and Scale work with internal teams to create social campaigns based on our research, analysis and experiments; counsel social and communications teams on using social media both proactively and reactively in order to enhance their depth of social insights, including keeping them up to date with the latest advancements in technology, platform trends and tools; create playbooks, toolkits and an experiment repository to scale those efforts.

Experiment develop monthly social experiments that help us to get more thoughtful every day in how, where and with whom to communicate.

Who You’ll Work With
This role collaborates with all groups within Developer Relations Marketing including Content, Brand, Community and Demand Generation. In addition, the role will work across Developer Relations departments including Developer Experience, Engineering, Corporate Marketing, and marketing teams within business units and products.

Who You Are
7+ years of experience leading social media strategy for a large global brand

Experience overseeing multi-channel social programming and developing digital content for social channels

A consistent track record of building communities online

An eye for detail, down to the last character, image crop, and line break

Experience running social media strategy and channels for a social-first brand

A love of creative campaigns, ideation, and execution from detailed content production, down to approachable and human copy

Your finger on the pulse of social trends and culture, knowing how and when to translate them into brand tactics while maintaining brand integrity

Proven ability to partner optimally across the organization and at all levels

Works fluidly in a hyper-paced organization and is able to move quickly while balancing multiple priorities simultaneously with professionalism and ease

Knowledge of social platforms and tailoring content for each platform.

7+ years of experience in brand marketing and agency, with an emphasis on social media.

Experience in leading social media channels and working on social media campaigns for a large global brand.
