The Global Demand Center (GDC) in the Cloud Marketing Group is spearheading Microsoft’s marketing transformation for its largest and growing commercial cloud businesses. We are seeking Senior Global Social Media Marketing Managers to enhance global digital experiences, foster customer affinity, brand loyalty, and ultimately drive the purchase of Microsoft cloud services across various industries.

The GDC Cloud Blog & Social team, with a global outlook, is actively in search of 3 Senior Global Social Media Marketing Managers who are focused on showcasing our brand across diverse social platforms and delivering exceptional experiences. Deep experience of the dynamic nature of the global, social landscape, demonstrating a deep understanding of various platforms and their content types, as well as the factors that drive social performance in channels.

Responsibilities

Our social team delivers value to our customers by establishing connections and meaningful engagements across blogs and social media. We oversee one of the world’s largest social media ecosystems, encompassing multiple commercial cloud products such as Azure, Microsoft 365, Teams, Security, Business Applications (Biz Apps), Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Viva, and Windows 365. With over 50+ social media accounts – and we are currently expanding our global presence to reach 300+ accounts across three regions: America, Asia, and Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

The Senior Global Social Media Marketing Managers will be responsible for managing the global editorial calendar, which calls for close coordination across Commercial Cloud social and social teams across Microsoft. They will oversee editorial and content guidance for the field and capture and drive feedback loops on the global content with regional leads and corporate (corp). The Senior Global Social Media Marketing Manager will also drive the global social editorial strategy and will be the lead on an extensive and visible rhythym of the business (ROB) with executives from corp and the field, which will engage strategic and storytelling skills. Organization and project management role also play a big role across all workstreams this individual will manage.

These roles will work closely with various cross-functional leads, including the Global Programming Lead, Global Localization Operations Lead, Corporate (Corp) Programming & Ecosystem, Regional Social Command Center (SCC) Operations & Execution Leads, Social Capabilities Lead, and Global Analytics Lead. These roles may also work closely with the regions EMEA, Asia, and Americas in setting strategy and providing execution guidance and evaluating results. These roles may be responsible for managing the end-to-end global programming of approximately 15,000 assets each month and oversee and enhance the global tagging structure, as well as collaborate with the Corp Ecosystem Lead to develop and define requirements for essential social media tools and platforms.

Responsibilities Include

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or related field AND 1+ year(s) integrated marketing (e.g., digital, relationship, social media, campaign), event management, marketing strategy, business planning, marketing operations, project management or related work experience
  • OR equivalent experience.

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • Global social experience.

  • Social channel management in corporate setting.

  • Social localization experiences.

  • Executive presence with noted experience presenting to senior stakeholders.

  • Previous agency experience is a plus.

  • Experience with Sprinklr and other social media tools and managing complex editorial calendars.

  • Experience collaborating with global teams and overseeing distributed virtual teams is beneficial.

  • Integrated Marketing IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $101,200 - $194,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $130,000 - $213,200 per year.
