Because without taking care of ourselves, there’s no way to show up consistently and creatively for our communities!

A few ideas to prioritize your mental health this week:

:bulb: Do A Brain Dump:

Spend 5 minutes to get out of your head by writing down everything in your brain. Think of this as a way to write out your to-do list, and everything you’re focused on right now. Sometimes getting things out on paper help us think more clearly. It can also help cut down on overwhelm, which will make you feel more organized when starting a day.

:telephone_receiver: Call A Friend:

Connecting with others brings us joy and helps us feel supported! If you’re having a hard day, pick up the phone and call a friend or family member. Share how you’re feeling, and invite them to do the same. Having meaningful conversation enriches our lives and can truly turn around the hardest day.

Let’s stop the stigma around mental illness! Anxiety and depression are prevalent, in fact 1 in 4 people has a mental illness. Don’t be afraid to reach out to a professional and seek support. Whether it’s therapy or medication, there are a lot of things that can help you feel better.
