The Manager Global Social Media is responsible for leading MoneyGram’s overarching social strategy to achieve key business goals. This individual must have a passion for building brands, connecting with people, and using data-driven approaches to inform cross-channel (and world-wide) content and strategies. This leader should have extensive experience in defining social KPIs to accomplish business needs, content pillar development, and platform knowledge to inform content and channel mix.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Leads social strategy across all MoneyGram organic global channels
  • Defines social KPIs & subsequent plans to achieve them based on business priorities
  • Establishes content pillars and platform mix, working closely with the brand team and Social Content Marketing Lead to align on brand vision
  • Delivers proven strategies for growth in followers, engagement and awareness
  • Oversees reporting and learning agenda management to track performance and optimizations with support from the Social Media Manager
  • Ideates big ideas, innovative executions and new opportunities for organic content, promotions and when relevant, paid campaigns
  • Identifies emerging trends and impactful applications for the business
  • Leverages organic as a consumer feedback loop, testing ground and relationship builder
  • Plans strategically to garner learnings and insights that can bring value to business decisions and product development

Education:
BS, BA or BFA

Experience:

  • 10+ years of social & content strategy (agency experience preferred)
  • Experience managing a team
  • Experience managing national brands (global is a plus)

Essential Skills:

  • Experience with high growth, direct to consumer brands
  • Experience successfully leading national or global organic channel strategies
  • Experience developing & achieving plans for significant follower growth
  • Track record of achieving defined organic KPIs across prior companies/clients
  • Expert in all social platforms, their audiences, how users engage, content preferences
  • Data-driven approach to planning and optimizing
  • Experience running social promotions and influencer campaigns (campaigns to be managed by Social Content Manager)
  • Strong communicator with the ability to articulate ideas, plans, data and insights

Anticipated Base Pay: $101,500-150,000 (Performance Bonus Target available for this role)
