I am looking for some documentation/tips/tricks on how to create titles for videos on Facebook/Instagram/LinkedIn.
These titles are “printed” on the video frame and I am looking to provide guidance to one of my copywriter re: “provocative/disruptive” titles and how to write them…
We don’t want our content and posts to be negative but we are looking at creating something that will stop the audience in their tracks and we believe that a negative angle might help in the title.
P.S.: I am also looking to add an image to my post and keep on getting an error message. How are we suppose to add imaged to posts in the forum???
Hi, @pat! Welcome to Social Media Pulse. I totally understand what you mean about a provocative/disruptive title being effective. While you certainly won’t want your posts to be clickbait, you can take some lessons there from the type of emotion they evoke. “You won’t believe what happened …” “5 astonishing/amazing/shocking things about …”
I would encourage your copywriter to research how to write “emotional hooks” that inspire awe, showcase secrets, use superlative language, etc. In this way, you can pull on emotions without being overtly negative.
(Re: the PS - Since this was your first post, you were prevented from adding media as a security protocol. Now that you’ve posted, you’ve moved up to Trust Level 1 and should be able to edit the original post to add a media file for context. You can learn more about trust levels at: How do Trust Levels work?)
Hey @pat - you can google Title Generators and you’ll find a bunch of really cool ones to test out. I used to recommend a bunch - I’ll see if I can find those lists. But beyond the emotional rating - is the SEO of the title. Let me see if I can find a few links for you to try out.
Making any progress??? Wondering if you are getting some cool titles for your videos @pat Feel free to share some examples…would love to see your work!
