Hi all, a quick question about LinkedIn #s. I understand LI are thinking about doing away with the #s or possibly adding into SN? Is this true and/or does anyone know any more than this?? I can still search via hashtags but a lot of clients canโt. Any help would be fab. Rx
@LinkedIn_Experts what are your thoughts on hashtags? I thought it was up to 5 but maybe things have changed.

LinkedIn have definitely downgraded hashtags recently. We think they may have made them redundant completely.
If you have your own hashtag Iโd advise using just that one for maximum effect.

Hi @eternalkaz, itโs not so much that, itโs more about when and why they are going to stop using them and if they are only using them within Sales Navigator which I have heard is a possibility. Rx

Oh I see. I misread. My apologies. I did see where people are talking about hashtags being removed. Hereโs an newsletter/article I found from someone talking about the hashtag depreciation which in turn quotes the original person that talks about hashtag depreciation.

Huh, i wonder why they gave different answers. Itโs possible that the comment originally made was not public therefore it wasnโt a final decision and when they saw backlash on it reversed it quietly.

catching up on this thread - I use three hashtags normally - did you know that when you use 2 to 3, they are added to the URL of your post on LinkedIn which is one way to help your post get found. There are always mini dramas about features being added or dropped and this seems to have been one! They are (currently) here to stayโฆ
