Which would be best option in this scenario? My client has 3 businesses, one in finance, one in recruitment and one in finance lead generation all of which have company pages and sit under the umbrella of an enterprise group which has no page yet. The 3 pages haven’t posted yet.
Are 3 company pages best here or should they have been better creating a company page for the enterprise group with showcase pages for the other 3 pages?
I’ve not had much to do with showcase pages so any advice would be appreciated. Rx
I would recommend the enterprise page and then 3 showcase pages. They will all take work and supervision. How attached at the three pages? Will they have the same admin? Different admins? Share similar content. is it clear the three businesses are under the same umbrella? These will influence the answer
Hey @rachel1 !
Great question! My answer would depend on how closely related the businesses are. If each of the 3 businesses are parts of the same ‘umbrella’ company i.e. the enterprise group, then I would say put them as showcase pages under 1 company page. However, if they operate as stand-alone companies then keep them separate.
Keeping them separate is probably more work and you can definitely direct traffic between them but if they are related it will be easier to manage them under one company page. If you choose this option, the maintenance of the pages could remain under the same admin/s, or you can assign different levels of admin to look after each showcase page to share the work load.
It will be easier for your client to promote the 3 businesses via their personal profile if all 3 are all under one business page; likewise with any other staff who may work for more than one of the businesses.
Happy to take a look if you need more clarification, just DM’d you on LinkedIn so you know where I am!
Thank you @viveka - the admins are the same. It’s the finance industry, they have one page to recruit financial advisors, one to talk about their main business and one to generate leads that they sell to their financial advisors, so all related but individual as well. It’s not clear that they are all related at the moment. The content will be different I would suspect although they might be able to cross promote the companies. Hope that helps. Rx
Thanks @sarah2 - the admins are the same. It’s the finance industry, they have one page to recruit financial advisors, one to talk about their main business and one to generate leads that they sell to their financial advisors, so all related but sort of individual as well. I think I might need to ask them how stand-alone they wish the pages to be! Rx
Sounds like you got great advice @rachel1 - One thing to consider is that there is a ton of visibility power with 3 pages and it’s less overwhelming as people think, especially if you are planning to find ways to repost and cross-support the other pages. Plus the idea that you have to post every single day is not necessary. You can easily run a successful page with 2 to 3 posts per week, I have a page that gained over 13K followers in a couple months with posting 2 posts max per week. I hope that supports you and both decisions can work. There are benefits both ways:
ONE main enterprise page can be grown on it’s own… and then after the growth is larger you can use it to grow 3 showcase pages OR
Leverage the power of 3 pages at the same time to repost and support each page and the teams content is maximized with cross promotion. Currently working with teams doing this and cross reposting can be very successful with high visibility and FAST growth.
