Hi All
Is it true that the LI algorithm isn’t being as generous to articles and newsletters as it has previously been? Rx
I follow a ton of marketing and sales people on LI and this topic has been burning up my feed. I did a quick search and found this article with some research on the topic: Is the Organic Reach of LinkedIn Going Down? – Here’s the Proof - Blusteak
It is difficult to get traction on LinkedIn if you don’t a solid audience. Despite all the contents I created I feel LinkedIn algorithm doesn’t even take in consideration of my contents.
I wonder if my contents don’t resonate to the audience i want to serve.
Thanks for the article @theresa, I think it’s pretty old but it’s got some great points. Thanks for your comments too @fp2060. Rx
My pleasure, and I’d like to keep this thread open - I will add any current, relevant info I find on the topic here, as I find it. Have a great day!
I am not sure the answer to why the algorithm boosts some content and not others. Maybe we can pull together some ideas here that we can test and see if we figure out a way to get more traction.
We are about to do an entire mission on LinkedIn in November…I’ve seen some of the first content and hope it will answer some of these questions…or at least give us lots of opportunities to discuss LinkedIn!
@fp2060 gaining traction on LinkedIn is about creating and nurturing relationships with others you would like to know better. When you add value to others, they will be more likely to care about what you post.
This is always interesting to me. Algorithm versus content talk I mean. For me personally, the following content has performed (number wise) best for me.
Now having said that, I actually see more engagement from Newsletters & Industry Specific Content than any other content at the moment on LinekdIn. Now I have been very consistent with posting those Newsletters every Monday morning for the last 36 weeks. That may something to do with it. But typically my monthly content is:
Monday - Newsletter
Wednesday - Video
Monday - Newsletter
Wednesday - Industry Specific Post
