Step 1: Give, give, give! (testimonials)
Step 2: Ask people who you work with
Step 3: Ask your audience (those who attended your talk, webinar, liveshow etc.)
Step 4: Give more. I love to surprise people with an unsolicited testimonial. I do get some back.

Follow up with a message, email, or if need be, a Facebook message :joy:!

Here are my thoughts on giving testimonials on LinkedIn!

  1. Don’t be scared to ask. The worst thing they can say is no. The best thing they can say is yes!
  2. Feel free to give! I recommend giving a testimonial and then waiting a bit and asking for one. It’s always to give first and then ask.
  3. Make sure that you have connected with the company or person before asking. You want your testimonial to be well rounded and complete! You can’t have that if hadn’t built a relationship with them. Please do yourself a favor and make sure to foster a relationship before asking.

Just some of my thoughts!
