Hi everyone!! My name is Leah and I am currently a Digital Marketing Specialist for a few companies in the building industry - I just celebrated my two year anniversary here. I create and publish content for four different brands. I have a BFA in Graphic Design and was a Graphic Designer for Eastbay (owned by Footlocker) for four years. I am located in Central Wisconsin, where it’s beginning to feel like fall.
I love talking about books, cross stitching, my fluffy white cat named Snow, the birds I see in my yard, and just anything social media and to my surprise, building materials!
I am Ellen Foley, a communications consultant, writer and former national journalist now in Madison, Wisconsin. I am known for my media relations success and my careerlong relationships with media that lead to coverage for my clients and their issues as they thread into various communities. I also spend a lot of time on marketing and branding. I am right now trying to figure out how to place a client’s opinion piece on Name Image and Likeness of female college athletes in a national publication, possibly a women’s online publication, and I’m not sure who is still accepting those. The client does not want to be paid. She wants to get her opinion out there. Any tips?
A friendly hello welcome to all of our @New_Members who joined over the past two weeks!!!

Hey. I’m Joe Huber and I’m the Head of Community at Ascender by Force Management.
I live in the Chicago suburbs with my wife and daughter. If I’m not talking about Game of Thrones, camping, or D&D, I’m probably fishing or golfing. Oh, and community marketing. I sometimes talk about that.
Great to see you here, @josephpaulhuber! We’ve crossed a Twitter path or two over the last couple years – excited to see you here and stoked for you to share. Let us know if we can help you out with anything specific.
Ed here! I’m located in Northern California – Sonoma County, wine country they call it.
I’m a Video Coach and Online Marketing Expert teaching agents how to show up on video (being more comfortable with their authentic self) for social media and marketing so that they can attract more qualified leads and feel good about closing more deals.
I love social media as it allows us to discover and connect with others. Feel free to reach out, let’s chat, and see what magic we can make happen!
Waving hi to another community lover!! Bet you couldn’t guess…with me being the Community Manager at Social Media Pulse! Happy to have you add your voice @josephpaulhuber
Hi @ellen.madaline! Glad to have you join us at SMP! An interesting challenge with your client’s piece on NIL! My son is a D1 swimmer and works for his university football program. So much buzz about NIL! I’m sure you’ve already compiled a list of women’s online publications. Have you thought about focusing on the specific sport?
For example, swimmers look closely at SwimSwam.com and I think they take submitted articles.
Also what about tweeting to get noticed?
ps please feel free to ask this question as a new post…it will probably be seen by more people and you’ll end up with other tips
I’m Deborah D. Russell, and after raising my two sons, I’m finally re-entering the workforce. Many people including my colleagues believed I was crazy for quitting my lucrative corporate communications job to raise my sons. However, having my sons succeed in school (A+ students) and in life gives me an added sense of success, even though I miss connecting with other professionals and experiencing an emotional high when everything was going well.
My 13- and 11-year-old sons, who attend one of the top schools in the state, teach me the current social media trends, methods, and tools. The social media trends catered to their age groups and IT skills astound me.
I live in Chicago and would love to connect with moms/dads re-entering to the workforce.
I’ll talk about anything especially baking., solutions for eliminating ‘food deserts’, affordable housing for low-income individuals and families, and dogs. However, I do not discuss religion and a person’s political views.
I’m Jon Rognerud, VP Growth at the #1 profitably scaling advertising agency in Los Angeles, Chaosmap - I’m a dad, 3 kids and wife - and loving living down by the beach!
