Continuing the discussion from FAQs: What is Google Business Profile? (Maria Elena Duron):
Most don’t understand the power of this tool for their local marketing efforts and how it can amplify what you’re doing on social. Only 26% of business have a Google Business Profile posting strategy. The opportunity is “ripe for the picking.”
It’s surprising how many businesses don’t even realize it’s a “thing”—they figure Google just cobbles together random information about their business and generates the profile from that, having no idea that they can take control over this important impression!
Where I’m focusing on a local market, posting proactively on Google has really helped results, specifically enquiries. Examples are restaurants, delis, coffee shops etc. We prioritise Google for our podcast studio for bookings.
It’s great to connect with you, Paul! YES! I’m so glad to hear that you’re maximizing what the tool can do for you. Even home based businesses can use it & suppress publishing their address yet still be seen as the “local” source for a product, service, or solution. Cool to hear that you use this for podcast bookings!
