The Role

The Associate Manager of social media will work closely with fellow World of Hyatt Social Media Managers and the Director of Content Marketing + social media, as well as peers across the Digital, Brand, Communications, and other departments, to ensure the content on Hyatt’s social platforms are a true reflection of the brands and supports social business goals. They will also have the responsibility of ensuring any content being posted on social platforms is relevant to the platform and targeted to the appropriate audience.

The primary job responsibilities are:

  • Creating, curating, and publishing social media content for World of Hyatt’s evergreen social media platforms
  • Work with teammates on integrated brand campaigns, working cross-functionally with various departments to translate brand campaign objectives into social-first strategies and plans
  • Content creator management (incoming inquiries, evaluation, coordination with hotels, database management)
  • Instagram/Facebook Stories ideation & creation for World of Hyatt
  • Hotel toolkit assistance for multi-brand & multi-department promotions or campaigns
  • Secondary support for larger campaigns & initiatives (content creation, campaign management, project management, execution assistance)
  • Social brand strategy work assistance as needed
  • Collaboration with other teams to coordinate and amplify marketing campaigns
  • Light community management as needed, flagging customer service needs to Global Care Center
  • Leverage user-generated content into evergreen social media content via partner tools in unique ways
  • Lightly assist with paid media management for ongoing monthly social campaigns on select platforms

Qualifications

Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in a social media management role
  • Knowledge and experience in the tenets of traditional marketing.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Advertising, Communications, English or technology-related
  • Creativity and immersion in social media, with in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms
  • Strong familiarity with Sprinklr or similar social media management tools
  • Ability to work with a variety of partners and team members across different projects
  • Highly self-motivated
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities

Experience Preferred:

  • Strong time management, communication, and organizational skills
  • Project management skills are a plus
  • Excellent writing and language skills
  • Experience with Photoshop or additional photo editing tools for content creation is a plus
  • Graphic design experience a plus
